All work submitted will be reviewed by the editorial team that will then shortlist work to be published in the issues of TMS. Writers and contributors will be made aware of the decision of the core and editorial team within two months of the end of the submission period.
The Missing Slate (TMS) is a bi-annual magazine that opens for submissions in two parts every year. Below are the submission periods:
Summer Issue:
February 15th to April 15th
Winter Issue:
August 15th to October 15th
In essence, TMS supports the work of people from marginalized communities. All work coming from a place of oppression is welcome to be heard in this shared and safe space, but the core and editorial team hold all rights to upholds filter discrimination of any form, ensuring a safe, fair, and inclusive environment for contributors and all individuals.
Even though TMS hopes to be a paying body in the near future, currently it is unable to pay its writers and contributors. All work submitted is to be done on a voluntary basis. Writers and contributors retain full ownership and rights to their work after appearance in The Missing Slate, ensuring their creative autonomy and control over their intellectual property.
